Petar Leonard teaches DWS Family Law course at UNH Law

Petar M. Leonard teaches DWS Family Law course

Petar M. Leonard very much enjoyed co-teaching the DWS Family Law course with his colleague, Crystal Maldonado, at UNH School of Law this past February.  He is hopeful that the students took away from the course a foundational understanding of the various aspects of family law, as well as some of many types of issues that can arise in family-law cases.

The Daniel Webster Scholar (DWS) Honors Program at the UNH School of Law is a practice-based, teaching and bar-licensing honors program that occurs during the last two years of law school.  Webster Scholars complete a wide range of courses, including specific, intensive Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program courses. Students demonstrate their developing professional skills and judgment in simulated, clinical, and legal residency settings, and compile a portfolio of work.  They counsel clients, take depositions, work with practicing lawyers, appear before judges, create business documents and learn to negotiate and mediate.  This course teaches them to be “client ready”.

Petar very much looks forward to teaching again in 2018!
