Attorney Deragon Faculty Member at NBI CLE Seminar on Document Retention Programs: Electronic Records Management Issues

Attorney Deragon was delighted to be a faculty member at NBI’s CLE Seminar - Employment Law: 2018 Comprehensive Guide (Comprehensive Guide), held on November 6, 2018. She presented on the topic of document retention programs, including legally required retention periods, records inventory and appraisal, determining a manageable retention schedule, electronic records management issues (privacy, security, backups and the challenges in addressing new technologies), being prepared to efficiently respond to document requests and best practices for creating records destruction policies and procedures. On June 12, 2019, Deragon will be a faculty member at NBI’s CLE Seminar – Your Top 11 Employment Questions: Answered. She will discuss “How do I Deal With the Most Problematic Employees?” This topic will include a discussion of mental health issues in the workplace, unreasonable accommodation requests, performance problems and absentee employees, bullying and harassment, and social media, alcohol and marijuana dangers.Deragon is an of counsel attorney at Pastori | Krans whose practice focuses on advising businesses on a wide variety of employment law matters, including: hiring, disciplining and terminating employees; training supervisors and employees; internal investigations; employee handbooks and policies; wage and hour compliances; and employment contracts.
