Attorneys Krans and Deragon Selected to 2018 New Hampshire Super Lawyers List

Pastori | Krans is proud to announce that Attorney Heather Krans and Attorney Beth Deragon have been selected to the 2018 New Hampshire Super Lawyers list. Attorney Heather Krans’s primary area of practice is family law and Attorney Beth Deragon’s primary area of practice is employment and labor law. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The patented selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis, and no more than five percent of attorneys in each state are listed. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed; therefore inclusion in New Hampshire’s Super Lawyers list is considered a singular honor.

Attorney Deragon Faculty Member at NBI CLE Seminar on Document Retention Programs: Electronic Records Management Issues

Attorney Deragon was delighted to be a faculty member at NBI’s CLE Seminar – Employment Law: 2018 Comprehensive Guide (Comprehensive Guide), held on November 6, 2018. She presented on the topic of document retention programs, including legally required retention periods, records inventory and appraisal, determining a manageable retention schedule, electronic records management issues (privacy, security, backups and the challenges in addressing new technologies), being prepared to efficiently respond to document requests and best practices for creating records destruction policies and procedures. On June 12, 2019, Deragon will be a faculty member at NBI’s CLE Seminar – Your Top 11 Employment Questions: Answered. She will discuss “How do I Deal With the Most Problematic Employees?” This topic will include a discussion of mental health issues in the workplace, unreasonable accommodation requests, performance problems and absentee employees, bullying and harassment, and social media, alcohol and marijuana dangers.

Attorney Deragon Presents at the Human Resources Association of Greater Concord on Accommodation – Whose Responsibility?

Attorney Deragon presented on the topic Accommodation – Whose Responsibility at the Human Resources Association of Greater Concord’s (HRAGC) monthly member meeting, held on October 18, 2018. Her presentation included a discussion of employee physical and mental health issues and potential accommodations, perceptions, assumptions and biases regarding mental health conditions and interplay of various federal and state leave laws including the ADA, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation and Short Term Disability.
